Hat, a disaster or a challenge?

Here in Finland hat at this time of year is a necessity. It's not really cold yet, we still have plus degrees at least in the daytime, but if one aims to spent few hours outside every day in the rain and breeze, one must wear a hat. And thanks to my children, I'm quite outdoorsy now-a-days.

But what happens to your hair when you do wear a hat? This.

And this is how I started the day out.

If anyone has tips how to not tp let picture one disaster happen, I'm more than willing to listen to those advise!

Good hair day - maybe, good pictures - not!

I started this blog to demonstrate that I can have nice looking hair ever day. We can have different opinions if my hair looks good or not but I'm sure we all agree that pictures are not so good. I'm already tired of taking the pictures in my dark bathroom via mirror, I need to come up with some solution to this problem. Maybe I can train my two-year-old to take pictures?

Well, here's today's hair, two braids crossing in the front. 

Sunday at home

Today has been such a day that it took me until two a clock in the day until I even got to brush my hair. And I got up at nine. Reason is of course the children and never ending household work. Today was not different from any other day, I just feel that if I want to keep the house clean, food on the table and children in clean clothes and diapers this sometime means that I have less time for myself. I guess every mother knows the feeling.

So when I finally had time to think about my hair this was the result.

Parting in the middle, loose cinnabun in the back and one rope braided section on both sides. Sunday style is ready!

New, better life

Isn't it so that at New Year everyone starts their new, better life -every year?  People start exercising, stop smoking and drinking and swear, that their life will be totally different the coming year. I did not make any promises for this year except to start this blog,  one could say that this is year my new years resolution.

After having a feast of Christmas food and chocolate for the last two weeks I felt today that more traditional way of starting new year could suit me as well, I was desperate to hit the gym! My hair today was inspired by this thought, a neon strap around the head and a high twisted bun and I was ready to burn those calories off!

And  by the way, that new life what everyone starts, I once heard it apparently only lasts approximately eight weeks.

Last day of x-mas holiday

This Friday was officially the last holiday day of the Christmas holiday for many people in Finland. We decided to celebrate it by meeting our friends, one couple at breakfast and one other at lunch. This meant that we had a busy morning in the city.

Children kept me up in the night so I was out of ideas in the morning and decided to go for quick curls. Here is the result.

 

Play time!

Today's wake up was not so glamorous one, I woke up when my baby through up on me! Well, that' life, I guess. We had my sisters boy having a sleep over and in the morning we decided to go to near by indoor play ground, we were there most of the day. 

I decided that day in the play ground asks for a  sporty hair style so I came up with this.

Happy New Year!

Welcome 2014! Thanks to great company of my friends I managed to stay up after twelve a clock last night, see the fireworks and welcome the new year as it should be welcomed.. Having two small children I'm usually a fan of good night sleep but yesterday we threw a little party to neighborhood and had a good time in great company. Sometimes a small party refreshes more than even eight hour sleep!

Luckily our children let us adults sleep long in the morning and after having a slow breakfast I'm enjoying some me-time on the couch, in my pajamas, wrapped in my softest and warmest cashmere scarf, having my 1,5 month old  baby sleeping in my lap. There is romantic comedy on TV and warm cup of coffee next to  me.What a moment of happiness!

My hairstyle today reflects this lazy day, messy braided updo is easy and quick to create.
