Summertime!

It's still so hot! I'm trying to pack because we are again heading to see my parents and all I do is sweat! At least getting the front hair out of my eyes helps a little. I found this really old clip in my drawer and for this purpose it is perfect.

 

 

I might not be able to update my blog until next week Wednesday so if you don't hear from me earlier, don't worry! I'm just out of reach.

Get fit, baby!

My six weeks training and healthy eating is still on. That's why every day is a training day. Today I  spent the day with hair open but eventually tied them up to a pony tail for training.

 

 

Braiding rehearsal continues

I tried to do this braid last time sometime in the spring and finally now I got it together! It brings some new vibes to my every day high bun.

 

I had a lovely day with a dear friend and her child, we went swimming and since we were visiting them, almost abroad. They are living in the other side of the Helsinki area and visit to their house now in the summer feels like going to holiday. They have it all there, sea, sun, beach boulevard, pretty awesome when it's 30+ degrees!

 

Home time

I spent the whole day at home, luckily my friend with her son came to visit us so that the kids could have a pool party. We had really nice, really hot summer day!

Day at the beach

Well, it was more like half of a day, but anyway, we went to a childrens beach. And had a blast! In the hurry to get going in the morning I went to my familiar brade side bun. 

 

In the afternoon I got to make an up do to my friend, she was going to a birthday party. It is so hot right now so we desided put all the hair up so.

 

 

 

 

Have you been taking care of your garden?

It's hot, also for the plants. Here I am giving some attention to them.

 

Todays look is extremely simple, I feel it fits great with the laid-back summery feeling I have!

 

I don't know about this...

The impression on my face in the picture seems to be saying that. The day was not so good hair day, bun high up, and after the day of running around (also literally) and almost 40 degrees of heat strands of hair were just flying around.

 

Tropical feeling

It was + 38 Celcius degrees in the shadow today. I just put kids to sleep, it was  +29 degrees in their rooms. It's pretty hot for Finnish standard!

I love it!

Hard days night

We had my sisters family over. I've been cleaning, cooking, entertaining and watching the kids all day. It was great but now the couch calls...

 

Few hours of peace

Today, maybe for the second time in almost three years, me and my husband got out to eat with our friends. What a joy it is to eat your food without needing to feed, wipe, watch etc. those small monkeys we have! Company was great, food was nice, what a lovely evening.

 

By the way, even though I promised to post the pictures from the weekend, I actually can't. Since I did not take any pictures. Sorry fans, I was on holiday!

Over and out

My blog is going to be on pause for a few days, I'm going for a short weekend visit to my parents and won't be able to update my blog from there. But don't worry, I'll still take pictures of my hair styles and update it here next week!

Today I'm going out to eat with my girlfriends, we are planning our four days holiday together!

That kind of a day

 

One picture tells more than a thousand words, I'm back to my usual style. To be honest, I was meaning to do something else to my hair but there was so much other stuff going on all day so I gave in. Well, this style always works!

 

 

Heartbreaker

Today I got an idea of a heart shape lined by two braids. Here you see the result, not bad for first try. Altough this heart is still too wide, it's hard to see the shape if you don't know it's there!

 

 

First choice

Todays first hair style was open hair. After that followed a high bun ( for gym) and a low bun (for cycling. But this is how I started out.

 

Finally an inspiration!

Finally I had a day when I felt like trying on a new up do! So, I came up with this side bun, the trick is the three head-crossing braids. It looked quite neat!

 

I also curled my neighbours hair, she has her birthday party today. I was glad to help out with the hair!

 

I'm really wild

Yesterday I forgot to update. Here is yesterdays picture, I'm just going to gym. Can you feel the determination?

 

Look worked great also all day shopping, with jeans pencil skirt and frilled blouse.

 

 

Today I was channeling my wild side, I found my zebra stick for a bun so I used it. It's such an easy hairstyle, just twirl the hair around the stick and that's it.

Look for the future

I cannot deside wether this is a good look for me, grown up woman, or would it look better on someone who is 5 year old. You tell me!

 

 

 

 

Work it out!

I'm referring to my daily work out at gym.

 

Since I do sport daily I like to wear all sorts of buns. Today I wanted something just a little bit neater so I came up with this. I could imagine myself even going to work with this hair.

 

Bad luck glasses

Here is me and my sunglasses,I bought them in the start of the summer. They are my favorite pair and I would like to wear them all the time.

 

Unfortunately I have a tendensy to loose them. Half of the time they are lost at home. I've also left them once in a restaurant in Rome, once in a shoe store in Lucca. Today I left them in the cafe I visited and almost forgot them to the cash desk in supermarket. What should I do to keep these with me? Tie them with a string to my neck?

Sweet seventeen

 

My sisters oldest boy had his 17 year old birthday today. Time goes so fast, I remember when he was born and I was about seventeen when my summer job was to take vare of him. And now he's a young man, head taller than me. Where does the time go?

 

The idea of the hair is that braid is diagonal from one side of the head to another. And then a swirl of braid in the end.

So sporty

I have trained twice today. Twice. Muscels are already hurting. I'm already scared for tomorrows pain!

 

Happy 4th of July!

For the first time ever I'm going to 4th of July party. My husbands callogue from USA is having a birthday today and he's throwing a party for his birthday and 4th of July.

 

 

I guess there will be a lot of grill foods included!

 

Just do it!

On Monday I joined a diet and excercise group for the coming six weeks, I want to get rid of the few kilos that babies have brought. The regime entails workout eight (!) times a week, which means that every day is a excercise hair day. Here is todays style.

 

I do have some parties and brunches to attend to, maybe I can come up with something creative for those days.

Practise for the future

 

I made up a new ponytail style. In the end I think this suites best for a five year old. Well, practise makes perfect and five years from now I can make it to my daughter!

 

The ponytail goes sideways from left temple to right side of my neck.

 

 

Office look

Todays hair was more suitable for office than babysitting outside in the rain.

 

Well, I can think I got some extra luxury in the day!
