Natural state

I spent the day in natural state. Saturday I finally get to go to hairdresser again!

Day before holiday

Tomorrow is a bank holiday in Finland and it's also a start of our family holiday. Tomorrow we rest and pack and Friday we are flying away first to Netherlands and then to Italy. We'll be back three weeks later! 

Today we had a doctors appointment for the kids first thing in the morning and in the evening a friend  couple with their adorable son visited us. So the day was nice but a little busy so ponytail was todays style!

Shwiss, shwiss

Shwiss, shiwss is my boys language, it means a bus. So me and kids went to a mall with a bus today, we met some friends and enjoyed a day out of home. My son loves to go to a shop and he also loves busses, so we all had a great day!

Memories of last week

Week ago Monday I spent great day with collegues from work, we had a extended retirement party of a colleague. In between program we had few hours time to get ready for the evening and I was allowed to do try new up do's for the girls. Here is the result! We all sure looked nice!

 

Today I had an early  morning, needed to be out and about 8.15 so quick was the word in doing the hair. I had braid in the front and bun in the back, worked well the whole day!

 

 

 

 

Will Finland be World Champion?

That's the question right now when I'm writing this, the final of World Championship of ice hockey is on.

 

 

Today is also the day when my god child turned 10 and we went to his birthday party. As usual, we were in a hurry, so I just made a braid, ending it with a bun.

 

Rock on!

We were invited to a 30 year old party today so I got a good reason to do something with my hair. i did not want to make anything too official so I decided just add some hair and make a messy open curls. Here is the result after few hours of partying!

I also made some up do for the other guests and the b-day girl her self. I wanted to do something not so sleek so the birthday girl got Heidi Klum inspired hair.

The other up do was up lifted with a butterfly pin and some braids.

Hot, hot

The summer is really here! Temperature is over +30 celcius degrees, we all sweating in a heat wave.

At these temperatures loose hair is not an option so I choose the one side braid once again!

Nothing new

I have nothing new to show, I just wore my hair open and unstyled!

Blurred lines

Today I only got one picture of my hair and that too is blurred. It actually is not a shame since there is nothing  to see in my hair today, just a messy bun.

Swing on!

Did you know Robbie Williams swings both way? I sure now do, I was seeing him yesterday night! I mean I went to his concert, although I would have not minded of really meeting him. I didn't, though. Justins concert was in that way beating yesterday.

I almost look like a rock star with a big hair and sun glasses. Almost.

Today I'm having a work party, which start by golf course. I haven't been golfing that much so practice comes in handy. Here's how I'm going.

I tired again something new braiding style, on side open, one side braided.

It's ssss...

Sss in my boys language means snake. He was thinking that catkins (=norkot), which had fallen from the trees are sss. Some how catkins look like braid so braid day it is again.

Let's twist again

I wanted something new to cheer up normal pony tail, I came up with this twist on the front. It gives just small 40's vibe to the front hair!

Another side

Another side to wear a braid, that is. I made experiments again and tried a new thing.

Just us three

My husband went to a business trip today, he'll be back Wednesday evening. So it's just me and the kids for few days. 

It just started raining so I think I will take the kids to a shopping mall to run around. I also need to do the groceries, what a joy with two little ones...

Just, just...Justin!

Describe a perfect concert experience for thirty-something mum:

Before concert meet friends you haven't seen in a long time and find out that everything is just the way it used to be -CHECK
Have a drink (or few) - CHECK
Get an invite to the VIP area -CHECK
Get invited to the after party to the stars hotel room -CHECK
Dance your butt and sing your voice away of to the incredible gig -CHECK
Be so close to the stage that you can actually shake hand with the star and all the other crew -CHECK (I WILL NEVER WASH MY HAND AGAIN!)
Get a twenty-something boy ask for your number -CHECK
Get home before the babies wake up -CHECK

Ode to mums!

Happy Mothers Day, everyone! For me it was my third, my little girls first. Of course we all were up before the sun but after that I got to go back to sleep and I was woken up later with fresh coffee and muffin served with two happy babies and best husband in the world!

I was also taken to a Mothers Day brunch to the city in the afternoon, thus I made the hair a bit nicer than usual, I have a bun and a twist from the front hair on top of my head. The whole thing was topped with ladybug earrings!

And now, all children listen!

I look like a teacher like this. It's either the blouse or the hair. Or both.

Just plain me

Today it was plain, ordinary me day. I barely got to brush my hair, I was so caught up by other things. It's great that weekend starts soon!

It's not raining cats and dogs, or even men, -it's just raining

It been a really bad weather for a change, needed to stay inside all day. I felt tired and lazy all day and kids are just a little bit sick so I was desperate for something to cheer me up. One of my dear neighbor friends let me try a new kind of braid to her hair- that made my day!

I just wore a simple pony tail all day.

Shhh....

Alright, I'm going to do this update very quickly and as quickly try to sleep! Both babies are asleep at the same time, this does not happen so often, I need make most of it!

I had quite early morning today, I needed to run errands first thing in the morning, so this quick bun was what I did with my hair. Next I'm going to see how it lasts through my nap!

Another day at the office

Which in my case means sand box. I had some friends and their kids coming over, so there was not a dull moment in the day. I went easy with my hair, I had too much things to cook in the morning.

Making ideas a reality

Today I was invited to a birthday party of two little girls who both turned one. I can tell you that those girls were the cutest sight I've seen in a long time! I wanted to wear sweet hair to the party so I made a small twist from my front hair and then one sided braid, it worked well for the occasion.

I saw a picture for a half braided dutch braid the other day and I wanted to try the idea out, luckily one of the other mums in the party let me try the new idea. I still need some rehearsing but this was a good start!

Tropical day

Todays highlight was a visit it Tropical animal house in Helsinki, our two year old was thrilled to see so many snakes and other reptiles. The little princess (I'm not referring to me!)  in the picture was also thrilled, maybe about the lights and sounds, I think. To her the best thing ever is still mummy making faces, that's one of my main hobbies nowadays.

Dutch braid after another

Today we had a breakfast with friends, I again made a braided up do, I really like these ones right now. I made two braids and they went together in my neck. 

Happy day

My husband has a small holiday and was home today. We used the time well and did many small projects which we have been postponing for weeks, even months! 

I feel we had very efficient and nice day as a family and I'm feeling happy!

First of May

Today I've been bit tired, I had late night last night, in my standard. Todays hair is easy up do out of yesterdays curls. In the morning we had few friends coming over for nice brunch so I wanted to look decent even I had been staying  up last night.
